Thoracic Spine Treatments
At Ahlgren Spine, we serve patients throughout the southeastern Michigan area by providing nonoperative and surgical thoracic (upper back) spine treatments for a wide range of painful conditions. These treatments include:
Thoracic steroid injections administered into the upper and middle part of your back (the thoracic region) around your spinal cord help to temporarily ease pain caused by pinched or inflamed nerves.
Injected into one or more of your thoracic (upper and middle back) facet joints, this combination of a local anesthetic and anti-inflammatory corticosteroid can ease your pain and help you move better.
Minimally invasive surgery is designed to correct an abnormal curvature of the spine using smaller incisions than open surgery.
This refers to a surgical approach to the spine from the back through a midline incision. It allows the surgeon to remove a compressed disc and then fuse the bones above and below the disc together.
Dr. Bradley D. Ahlgren performs necessary surgery for traumatic injuries (fractures, dislocations, compressions, etc.) to one or more of your thoracic vertebrae, as well as damage to the ligaments or discs of the spinal column.
